Doshi, a Financial controller by profession, is the Secretary General of the Tanzania Hockey Association, and is therefore always at the fore-front in developing and promoting the sport at youth and senior levels for both men and women in Tanzania.

Doshi’s association with Hockey dates back almost 4 decades when he took up the sport at a tender age in his early teens. He played at club level, at national level and was also an umpire.

Doshi is currently an international official having officiated as a judge during the Africa Cup for Club Champions Competitions (ACCC) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 2010 and as a Technical Official in the ACCC in Lusaka, Zambia in 2012.

Doshi is credited with spearheading Tanzania’s hosting of the Annual Phoenix Assurance Competition in Tanga for the past 15 years. This Competition which is international in nature and brings together clubs from the region, mainly Uganda, Kenya, Zambia and Tanzania.

Doshi, together with his colleagues, have regularly facilitated the travel of the Tanzania National teams to play friendly matches in neighbouring countries.

Doshi was elected as an AfHF Executive Board member in 2015 and is also a member of the Regional Sports Committee in Tanzania.

His keen interest is to promote Hockey through the use of social media and web-based Apps.
